The You Community – São Paulo, Brazil

The workshop was organised by Roberta Carbonari and Ana Paula Carvalho for health professionals, in collaboration with Dr Tetyana Rocks (Food & Mood Academy), who delivered the bespoke education and training on the Principles of Nutritional Psychiatry in clinical practice.

What?

It is essential for healthcare professionals worldwide to be informed about the evidence in Nutritional Psychiatry and equipped with evidence-based options for diet and lifestyle changes. This collaboration aimed to provide engaging, evidence-based information and practical tools to healthcare professionals and nutritionists, specifically for clients in Brazil.

How?

Dr Tetyana Rocks, director of the Food & Mood Academy, Senior Research Fellow and accredited Dietitian led this in-person, full-day workshop. Included were videos from the broader team, including pre-recorded lectures from Distinguished Prof. Felice Jacka and Dr Wolf Marx about nutraceuticals.

Presentations and workshop hand outs were tailored to the Brazilian audience including relevant case studies, and examples using culturally appropriate and available foods.
